Home of the Week: Live like a celeb in the NW of Calgary

Well hey there, house hunters! Welcome back to another Curiocity Calgary Home of the Week. This time around we’ve got a lavish Hidden Hills style palace; perfect for the made-it-big-on-one-track-rapper or the surprisingly successful dating app developer. HOME OF THE WEEK: 12 WYCLIFFE MEWS

This 7,800 square foot home has 5 large bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and several bonus rooms. The foyer, living room and kitchen are clean and bright. But even if it photographs beautifully and looks posh as all hell, it’s also kind of impractical. The kitchen is anything but marinara sauce friendly, and the dining room looks like a crummy place for crumbs.

This week’s pick is the definition of a show home. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but the floor to ceiling, white everything would be a nightmare to maintain. At least, for us normal folk who can’t afford to hire 30 people to clean every day all day.

Every bedroom in the home is incredible, complete with generous closet space and an ensuite, meaning no one would ever have to share a washroom! But the master, in particular, is extraordinary.

The finished basement is a recreational haven, with a gym, wet bar, theatre room, a sauna and a pool table. As if that wasn’t enough, there is also access to the downstairs patio and backyard with a cozy fire pit area.

This North West home is located just outside of the community of Tuscany and is only a 30-minute drive to downtown Calgary. This kind of luxury and convenience will cost you a pretty penny though… $5,250,000 of them to be exact.
