What to eat at this weekend’s massive Food Truck Frenzy
We know you’ve all long been waiting for the return of Spring, and with the return of Spring comes Food Truck Frenzies! The time is now, Calgs. It’s officially April and we can finally look forward to being surrounded by all the best food trucks once again. Plus, who doesn’t want the ability to be mere steps between a world of cuisines to stuff their faces with. We know we do.
The first Calgary Food Truck Frenzy will be taking place at Celebration Square in East Village on the last weekend of April so get those calendars marked!
The frenzy will be kicking off on Friday and running from 2 PM – 7 PM. If the true weekend is more your vibe, the frenzy will continue on at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th, and going until 7 p.m.
Hopefully eight hours of time will be enough for you to make your way through all the trucks, but if it isn’t, or you’re unfortunate enough to have to miss Friday & Saturday, the event kicks back off at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 28th too!
Bring all your best pals, make a romantic date out of it, round the family up, and even bring your dogs. This frenzy welcomes all, and then some.
Eat your way through the many cuisines that are offered Saturday and Sunday through the YYC Food Trucks umbrella! On Saturday, chow down on some backyard favs such as Calgary Mini Donuts, Fiasco Gelato, Sticky Ricky’s, Wilk’s Booth, Family Dough with Family Freezed, Family Squeezed Lemonade, Family Dogs, and Family Cheesed.
Then hit up some home-cookin’ style trucks like Zilford’s Fried Chicken and Ms. Mac & Cheese. No wonder they call it a food truck frenzy, hey Calgary?
When you’re ready to start digging a little deeper into the cuisine options, check out the Asian Fusion trucks like Taiko Taco, The Happy Fish, and Viet 2 Go.
Explore further with the International Cuisines including Take It and go, Arepa Boss, and Ukrainian Fine Foods. Check out the same fine trucks on Sunday with the addition of Dumping Hero and Bento Burrito!
On top of all the amazing food to be eaten and drinks to wash it all down with, there will also be live music, and DJ’s. Get ready to soak up the sun, stuff your bellies, then get your boogie on to work it all of.
