The ultra-Canadian Calgary Sugar Festival is back this month!

Canada is one of the best places to live on the planet, and you could fight us on that. What other country is made fun of for being too nice? Honestly, we’d take “America’s Ned Flanders” over “argumentative and problematic” any day. Since 2002, the Calgary Sugar Festival has given Calgary a safe place to celebrate our unique cultural mosaic, and some of our misunderstood traditions like rolling a stick of maple syrup in the snow.

It’s not strange, it’s delicious, and you’re doing yourself a disservice by thinking otherwise! This month during the Calgary Sugar Festival, catch incredible performances by French Canadian, Metis and Native American artists. Also, enjoy a tasty traditional meal prepared by chef Alain Ethier of the Le St-Sulpice Hotel in Montreal and even an incredible demonstration by the Calgary Air Cadets!
