The name of this laid back resto literally translates to “pizzeria in the corner,” which is exactly where you’ll find it in Linas Italian Market in Calgary’s NE.
So, what sets this place apart from the other pizza hotspots? Well, the pizza dough here is made from scratch and then cooked in a unique stone deck oven. Also, a lot of their ingredients (cheese included) are imported all the way from Italy.
That means a slice from Pizzeria All’Angolo is basically like taking a vacation in your mouth.
It’s not all about the ingredients either. The chefs here know a thing or two about maintaining authenticity, having traveled far and wide to perfect their craft. Executive Chef Manuel Panfili has been working in Italian kitchens his whole life. He has a Master’s in Italian culinary arts and has worked in some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants.
