Inside Yum Bistro, 17th Avenue’s new bakery-restaurant hybrid

Fresh baked goods and a homemade breakfast? We’re not talking about your childhood holidays with your grandparents, or the benefits of living at home. We’re talking about Calgary’s Yum Bakery and Bistro, a family-owned patisserie-turned-restaurant. Gosh, we love when we get to talk about baked goods.

Yum started in 2009 by selling their made-from-scratch goodies at the Calgary Farmers’ Market, and they were a hit! Their macarons and fresh bread are practically perfect in every way, and that’s saying something because we take bread very seriously.

Since then, they’ve managed to branch out. For that, we’re very thankful. The next step? Yum Bistro, a full-service & all-day breakfast experience in a restaurant attached to the bakery.

Stop in and try one of their various toppers on toast, one of their sandwiches, or breakfast favourites like quiche, pancakes, and bennies. Everything is preservative and additive-free, made fresh, and absolutely delish!

Yum Bakery and Bistro is open 8am – 8pm Tuesday – Sunday and closed on Mondays on 17th Avenue. They are also open 9am – 5pm Thursday to Sunday at the Calgary Farmers’ Market. We honestly cannot wait to see what they do next!
Wanna share some macarons? Jokes, we don’t share.
