Hello pals, how are ya? You’re looking thirsty. Good thing the Curiocity Calgary Happy Hour of the Week can fix that right up for you. We’re throwing things back to the 60s this week, so stay tuned for all the righteous details.

Walking into The Wednesday Room is like walking into the coolest underground spot that Calgary has to offer. You almost feel as though you shouldn’t know it exists… And that’s probably one of the best parts.
Described as a space reminiscent of a sophisticated 1960s lounge mixed with your uncle’s eclectic basement, we couldn’t think of a better way to explain this downtown space. Also, can they design our house? No? It was worth a shot anyway.
Now, onto the happy hour bites. No, it’s not just available on Wednesday– although it is on at all hours that day. However, if hump day doesn’t work for you then just head over from Tues-Fri from 3pm-6pm to get yourself a taste of what they’ve got.

Yum, right? You know we are diving into that truffle popcorn headfirst. But since salty snacks have us begging for a sip or two, we’ll definitely dabble in a couple of their dranks as well.

Classic cocktails like their Daiquiri (flor de cana 4 yr, lime juice, simple syrup), Bijou (tanqueray london dry, green chartreuse, dolin rouge, orange bitters), Old Fashioned (buffalo trace, maple syrup, angostura bitters) or Sazerac (woodford reserve rye, simple syrup, peychauds bitters, absinthe) are pretty hard to beat. However, they’ve also got rotating feature cocktails– if you’re there before it changes, try the Charred Paloma. You won’t regret it!
