Limericks

Let’s be real. Although you like reading about all of these fancy cocktail lounges, getting dressed in your best digs and hitting them up every now and then is a lot. Most nights we’ll find the majority of you at a local pub with a face full of chicken wings. Limericks is one of those laid-back, chillout bars where every hair doesn’t have to be in place, but every beer does have to be cold and every meal will be comforting.

This Celtic-style pub opened in 1999, which means they’ve been in the game long enough to know what people want, and sometimes what they want is just warm, inviting and delicious!

Limericks could teach a master class in cozy decor. This place has two floors of charming antiques, stained glass and rich colours.

Their menu follows suit, offering mostly traditional Irish, Scottish and Canadian dishes. This menu is kind of a beast, guys. They have everything from classic pub bites like Irish potato nachos and shepherd’s pie to gourmet burgers and their new sushi burrito. Yeah… sushi burrito. Just take a second to digest that.

Once you’ve stuffed yourself fuller than one of their Yorkshires, you can wash it all down with one of their 48 beers on tap. Limericks gets the good stuff brought in from all over the world, which is wild. Makes it tough to choose only one or two.

Good thing you don’t have to! Order your beer by the flat and try a little bit of everything. What a solution!

Limericks also has a killer happy hour. Every day from 3 PM to 6 PM, enjoy a selection of bottled beers, hi-balls, and 6 oz house wines for only $4.50. Enjoy Gas Lamp pints for only $5.50, as well as local and Canadian brewed pints for $5.25. If exotic is more your style, they also have 20 oz imported pints for $5.75.

Sounds pretty good, right? Well, the fun doesn’t stop there! A 6 PM cutoff is pretty tough to catch on a weekday after work, so they’ve added a second happy hour from 9 PM until close. Don’t worry night owls, they’ve got you covered.

You’ll definitely want to check this one out, guys! It’s a pretty tasty spot.
