Get glamourous at Sub Rosa’s first ever Drag Night
February so far has been bleak and bland, but Sub Rosa has just the thing to add a little much-needed colour (and glitter) to your lives. They are having their first ever Drag Night on Thursday, and we are all about it.
The performers for the evening are Calgary’s top drag queens, ‘Your Holy Trinity’- Perla Coddington, Abeiya Miraj, and Stephanie Prince. Each queen will be doing her very own solo performance, before coming together at the end to wow us as a trio. The headlining queen Perla will also be looking for love that evening (Tinder-style), so if you’re a man who thinks he can live up to her standards, send in your information to perla.tinder@gmail.com. You’ll be brought up on-stage and have your shot at love with Perla (let’s just hope she doesn’t swipe left!).
The experience will be something totally unique to Sub Rosa, with the seating centered around the stage, allowing attendees to comfortably take in the show while sipping on handcrafted libations and snacking on tasty bar bites.
There are two ticket options available for purchase, VIP and regular, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to HIV Community Link. They are a local non-profit organization that supports and educates individuals and communities that are affected by HIV and hepatitis C.
VIP tickets will get you preferred seating starting at 8:00 PM, a meet and greet with ‘Your Holy Trinity’, and a glass of welcome bubbles to kick the night off! They will also only set you back $20, so make sure you purchase them quickly before they run out. Regular tickets are only $10 and will get you general entry at 8:30 PM. We recommend getting there on time to snag your seats, as seating will be first come first serve.
