Cowboys Tent is now the ‘Big Big Tent’ and is hosting events all month long
A major part of the deal that Cowboys Music Festival made with the CMLC and City of Calgary in order to put up their 2019 Stampede Tent is about to kick off. Rebranded as the Big Big Tent, this huge event space is about to host just about anything you can imagine. Let’s take a look!
Harry Potter Screening
To kick off the month of events at the Big Big Tent, they’ll be hosting a screening of the first Harry Potter flick August 1st.
When: Thursday, August 1 at 7 pm
Family Day Bike Day at the Big Big Tent
Grab biking tips from Calgary’s best, shop accessories and hardware, and teach your little humans how to ride!
When: Monday, August 5 from 10 am – 4 pm
Summer Outdoor Skate Parties
DJs, food trucks, and tons of opportunities to shred gnar. That’s what you can expect every Wednesday at the Big Big Tent.
When: Every Wednesday of the month (August 7, 14, 21, 28)
Ninetimes Skateboard Park
Market Collective, Nintimes Skate Shop, and other local groups have come together to build ramps and purely for this weekend of drop-ins, darkslides, and five-ohs.
When: Friday, August 16 – Sunday, August 18
The 20th annual Slurpee Cup takes Calgary’s street hockey to the next level. Expect plenty of old-time hockey, food trucks, Blindman beers all day long, and tons of fun.
When: Saturday, August 24 from 11 am – 5 pm
Final Movie Night
We don’t know what movie this is yet because we all get to vote on it! All you have to do is hit up the Big Big Tent for any of the other events and you can cast your vote.
