Hockey nights are special nights for Calgarians. We love our boys and the support around the city is incredible to see. For many, the fun starts long before the puck drops, which is why we’ve teamed up with the Calgary Flames to give you a list of 8 spots for pre- and post-hockey night specials in the city!
Don’t @ us, but there’s no better way to experience a Flames game other than being smack in the middle of the C of Red with a Dome beer in hand. For the full experience, grab your tickets for the next game and take your pick from our recommendations below for pre- and post-game fun!
Cowboys Casino
Cowboys is the official pre- and post-game destination, and being just steps away from the Saddledome, it only makes sense. Happy Hour runs from 4-8 pm so you can get the party started and going up until the puck drops! Their game-day beer specials (Bud Light & Budweiser) are $5.25/ bottle and you’ll be entered to win a pair of Flames tickets!

GRETA Bar
Show your ticket stub on game nights and receive VIP entry before and after the game! Happy hour runs Tuesday-Saturday from 3-6 pm with house wine, beer, and highballs starting at $3 from 3-4 pm, $4 from 4-5 pm, and $5 from 5-6 pm. Looks like you better get there early!

The Canadian Brewhouse
If your hockey plans start outside of downtown, why not think about hitting up Canadian Brewhouse? They have free (first come first serve) bus shuttles to the Dome for any ticket holders! Also, we’re not complaining about the $7.99 Tankards of Bud & Bud Light.

Looking for a local pregame brew before the Flames game? Trolly 5 is in the heart of the Red Mile and has $5 Hash Mark Blonde & Turntable Lager, a $15 Flames menu (BBQ Sandwich+Side+Brew/Wine), and $16 classic pizzas on all game nights!

Bottlescrew Bill’s
Enjoy $5 Cold Garden Red or Blond and $5 Jack Daniels during ALL Flames games! Games are shown with sound and you’ll have a chance to win 2 tickets to their Flames Field Trip, which includes game tickets and beer + wings at the Dome.

Yellow Door Bistro
Two words: Free. Parking. Yellow Door is only a few blocks from the action and you’ll have access to free self-parking if you dine in! It’s a darn delicious way to pregame. They have a special two-course Hockey Night menu for $25, and $5 feature draught beer and red/white wine. The special is available every home game!

Raw Bar
Upgrade your pre-game snacking with their killer Hockey Night platter. For $25 per person you’ll get their glazed fried wings, fried caulilini, dumplings, and marinated cucumber. As with Yellow Door Bistro, Raw Bar is just a few blocks away from the Dome and you’ll get free parking validation if you dine in!

The Saddledome
Last but not least, we can’t leave out the happy hour deals at our beloved Saddledome! From 5:30-6:30pm, you can get a 14 oz. domestic draught, 1 oz. highball, 6 oz. house wine, and a cheeseburger or a pizza slice for just $5 each. They also offer 10% of all regular-priced FanAttic merchandise.
