Ahhh, the Loop. So many good mems here! We, like true hipsters, loved it before it got ~hip~ and ~trendy~ but now that it’s even cooler than before, we’re not mad. Welcome back to another Neighbourhood Guide, Calgary! Here’s all the best things to do during a day in Marda Loop.

Grab a little farm to fork action

forage
This health nut-friendly zone has ready to eat foods made with a majority of local foods from sustainable farms. In fact, they’ve got a network of over 40 Alberta farms and producers up their sleeve. Impressed? ‘Cause we are.

Party like it’s your birthday

8cakes
This place can make macarons shaped like flamingos. Need we say more? Yes? Okay, fine. We’re obsessed with 8cakes not only because they kill the bake game… But also ’cause they’ve got GF, dairy free, eggless and vegan options available, too. Next bday cake is *def* coming from here.

Check out 8 different bars in one

distilled
Sorry booze fans, we teased you with that one. Distilled does have 8 bars in one, though: from fingers to brows to bare, they’ve got your beauty needs covered. They also serve Rosso Coffee & Espresso, along with tasty wines, tapas and gluten free treats!

Crush a few brews

marda loop brewing
Okay beer fans, now’s your time to shine. MLB not only shares the same acronym as major league baseball, but it gets a home run in terms of beer every time. *And* they let puppies on their patio. God bless.

Update your look

imber
Don’t deny it, you know you wanna flex on your friends on the ‘gram. Imber can help you with that. They’ve got a fresh, young vibe– so pop in if you wanna find something summery.

Do flexible people things

yoga nova
Look, we ate a lot of stuff at Forage. We don’t regret it… But we do feel like maybe some exercise is warranted. Enter Nova! They do Power Yoga & Meditation, and the first month at their studio is only $59. ‘Scuse us while we get super zen.

Get yo’ market on

farmers market produce
Fresh Wagyu beef. Fine, freshly baked bread. Wine to sip as you shop. Do these things sound good to you? Dumb question, we know– of course, they do… so Calgary, it’s time to finish your day at the new Farmers Market we can’t get enough of, Marda Loop Mercantile.

Annnnd that’s a wrap on our list of things to do in Marda Loop. Should be a pretty fun day, honestly. Go wild out there pals!
