Wow, are we already in the final month of summer for things to do in Calgary? We guess that time really does fly when you’re having fun. Or, maybe we’re just getting older and time is passing more quickly. Nah, we don’t like the sound of that, we’re sticking with the fun route.

Here are the things to do in Calgary this August!

Salsa On The Street 2019

Can’t dance? Tequila and SOTS fest think you can. Salsa On The Street is a casual weekly opportunity for people to get together and dance salsa, so pop by for DJs and a chance to tweak your skillz!

Chasing Summer

The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and Alesso are all playing this fest, so you can bet it’s gonna be a crazy time. Don’t forget to hydrate, folks!

Stamps games

The CFL season is in full swing! Whether you’re a football fan or not, attending a Stampeders football game is a unique summer experience you’ll want to check out. The Gridiron Gardens are back this year as your pre-game tailgate destination at McMahon. They’re bringing us new game themes, and best of all, new stadium food. Plus there’s fun game themes to look forward to: on Aug 3, it’s Heritage Day Weekend. On Aug 17, Legacy Night!

Tour de Bowness Street Festival & Bike Race

2019 will mark the 18th edition of the Tour de Bowness, hosted by Bow Cycle! Racers will tackle the challenging 7-turn track while the rest of us enjoy great food vendors, live music on the Tim Hortons Stage, and wicked local art.

Check out the new University District

If you haven’t heard, the new University District is gonna be one of Calgary’s hottest communities. Offering 200-acres of all the amenities, services and experiences a person could want, this spot is worth checking out. Heritage Park Adult Night

Still going through the post-Stampede blues? Us too, it’s okay. Us sad cowfolk have a reason to cheer up though, since Heritage Park is bringing then midway back for an unreal adults-only night. On Friday, August 9, good ol’ HP will be open to people 18+ for drinks, food, rides, and some PG-13 fun!
