At this new plant-based resto, every single staff member is an owner
We’ve got a new resto coming our way, Calgary! It’s called The Allium, and it’s more than just a place to chow down. In fact, it’s a lot more unique than that, since every single staff member there is an owner.
The menu will consist of elevated, veggie-centric eats, and the spot will be posted up on 12th Avenue SW come next month.
So why the co-co-co-ownership? Well, it stems from the fact that most people can’t afford their houses or rent these days. Owner Jared Blustein realizes that wages just aren’t high enough, so he decided to split earnings from the resto with everyone working there.

As such, every staff member will work at least 3 shifts a week. Hopefully, since every employee owns the place, customer service will spike in quality.
All we know is we can’t wait to try the place! We’ll see you there in August, Calgary!
