Only one Canadian city named on ’50 Bucket List World Destinations’ list

We have to say, we’re a little bummed that Vancouver was the only city to make the Big 7 Travel bucket list of 50 destinations around the world. What? Do people not know just how gorgeous the rest of Canada can be? The massive travel website polled their 1.5 million Instagram followers, and the results are a little surprising.
Some fun facts about the research first. Big 7 found that roughly a third of people research destinations via Instagram. Meanwhile, about half of the places on the list are considered ‘iconic’. Finally, people have on average 11 places on their list, and want to visit at least 7 of them.

The Top 50 Bucket List Destinations in the world are scattered all over the place, ranging from India to Antartica. While we personally think that Kruger National Park in Africa should be higher up, we actually agree with most of the top 20.
- Bali, Indonesia
- New Orleans, U.S.
- Kerry, Ireland (weird but ok)
- Marrakech, Morocco
- Sydney, Australia
- The Maldives
- Paris, France
- Cape Town, South Africa
- Dubai, U.A.E.
- Bora Bora, French Polynesia
- New York, U.S.
- Dubrovnik, Croatia
- Edinburgh, Scotland
- Rome, Italy
- Paro Valley, Bhutan
- Jaipur, India
- Waikato, New Zealand
- Havana, Cuba
- Tokyo, Japan
- Antarctica
Anyway, Vancouver came in at number 21, right after Antarctica and right before Los Angeles. Well, alright, we guess that if there’s only going to be one on the list, it might as well be pretty high up. Maybe next year the respondents will reconsider.
