Starbucks goes Tie-Dye and the reactions are VERY mixed

Starbucks has released a Tie-Dye Frappuccino and we don’t know what to think about it. Obviously, we love throwbacks, but not all throwbacks are good ones. We could probably do without Hammer pants and t-shirts over long-sleeves ever making a comeback. The 90s were lawless times, that’s for sure.

Apparently, the tropical fruit-flavoured drink is a mix of yellow, red, and blue tie-dye swirls and topped with whipped cream. Finally, yellow, red, and blue sprinkles top it all off. Like the sounds of that? Well, most people don’t (according to Twitter at least). Let’s see what people think about the latest Starbucks abomination creation:
Good news… If you like to watch baristas break down at work, want your frappuccino to taste like sugary rotten bananas, and only follow internet trends… Then the tie dye frappuccino is perfect for you.#baristaproblems #TieDyeFrappuccino #dearcustomer

Well, we certainly aren’t surprised that Starbucks baristas aren’t too happy about the tie-dye frappuccino. And unfortunately for people looking to grab some Instagram clout with a pic of the drink, the results on how appealing it actually looks seem to be all over the place. That being said, some people are already big fans of this cup of pure sugar.

Obviously, seeing Starbucks deal with tie-dye stirs up some emotions. After all, what is up with tie-dye? Is it cool? Has it ever been cool? Did that kid from grade nine who sold weed and wore the same tie-dye hoodie all year long ever find true love? These are just a few of the questions surrounding the oft-controversial, forever-mysterious tie-dye.
We don’t expect the Tie-Dye Frappuccino from Starbucks has the answers either, so we’re going to steer clear of trying this one. The drink is only available while supplies last. We don’t know what supplies those are but get yours sooner rather than later if you want to taste the tie-dye rainbow.
