Taiko Canteen opening with tacos, fried chicken, and Lucky Putt

One of Calgary’s favourite street food options is about to open the doors in a permanent location. Taiko Taco has been delivering top-notch food truck fare for the past few years, but now it’s taking things to the next level. Opening soon is Taiko Canteen, 3,000 square feet of food and fun.
Taiko has grown over the past few years, acquiring Zilford’s Fried Chicken recently, and is now expanding further with Taiko Canteen. Not only will you get delicious Taiko tacos and Zilford’s chicken, but you’ll also get to play 9 holes of Lucky Putt!

Honestly, this sounds like a great spot. With rotating brewery taps, everything we mentioned above, and an atmosphere intent on ‘support(ing) people to make a difference”, Taiko Canteen sounds like it’s going to be a must-visit once it opens. Add it to the list!
Construction is still underway on this spot, so hold tight. Unfortunately, we don’t have much info on an opening date either. Good lord, what are we good for? Well, at least we told you that this place will exist sometime in the future! For that, you’re welcome (and first beer & taco will be on us).
