Here’s the scoop on this weekend’s massive YYC Brunch Fest
Wake up and smell the bacon, Calgary. YYC Brunch Fest is coming in HOT this weekend, on June 8th and 9th. Presented by YYC Food Trucks, this Food Truck Frenzy is all about every millennial’s favourite meal: brunch.
This Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th, YYC Brunch Fest will be taking place at the Bridgeland Community Association. Each participating food truck will be serving their regular menus, along with a one-weekend-only specialty brunch dish. After you’ve eaten your hearts out, you’ll be able to vote on your favourite brunch eat!

- Happy Hero
- Ukrainian Fine Foods
- Family Cheesed
- Family Dough
- Winsport
- Ilforno
- Wilk’s Booth
- Family Dogs
- Drang Boat
- Happy Fish
- Kicking Donkey (Saturday only)
- Family Squeezed Lemonade
- Zilford’s Fried Chicken
Some of our favourite contenders for the weekend are:
- Wilk’s Booth: Bacon & Eggs Waffle Fries, loaded with cheese curds, bacon, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese sauce AND an easy over egg.
- Family Cheesed: Bananas Foster French Toast, and we’re hoping they never stop loading that baby up with whipped cream.
- Dumpling Hero: Dim Sum Platter, with Har Gow (steamed shrimp dumplings wrapped in a gluten-free rice flour wrapper) and Shu Mai (juicy pork and shrimp steamed dumplings).
Aside from the mouth-watering lineup of food trucks, there will also be a VIP tent, brunch cocktails, live music, a string quartet (CLASSY), and a DJ. So make sure you grab a spot, soak up that summer sun (hopefully we see it), listen to some tunes and eat your lil hearts away.
