Explore St. Patrick’s Island
Don’t have a backyard of your own? Don’t worry, us Calgarians can share this 31-acre one. Go hiking, biking, fishing, beaching, or just picnic it up. You’re pretty much guaranteed a good time.
Light up your ‘gram with Alt Hotel pics
Sooo maybe you don’t necessarily need to stay at the Alt Hotel, but there’s no reason why you can’t take some fire pics. This place is an interior design wonderland, so pop on by and photoshoot away– we don’t judge.
Play the rainbow at Bounce Games Park
This new spot is as colourful as it is fun! Stop in for a pick-up game of basketball, hop-scotch, four-square, Twister, Snakes & Ladders or ping pong any time from 9am-9pm, 7 days/week. Don’t forget to bring your own gear!
Try the newest cocktail bar in town
Time to prove yourself as the hipster-iest one of your friends. Yardarm’s one of the newest spots out there, and it’s got a cool ass neon sign. Oh, and the minimalist design, seasonally rotating libations and live jazz is pretty sweet too.
Listen to the pretty sounds at Studio Bell
Explore five floors of exhibitions, take part in interactive activities, and see memorabilia from four Canadian music halls of fame. Oh, and grab some pics. Again. Yeah, your ‘gram’s gonna be looking pretty good after this.
Become a bookworm
Ahhh, reading. Such a lost art. It’s time to pick it back up again at the new Central Library, AKA one of the coolest spots to be in Calgary. Dat architecture does not lie, guys.

Yes, we’re taking you back to the Simmons Building. It’s kind of a must-see in East Village, okay? This rooftop bar has one of the best views in the city, plus tacos. What more could you want?!
