Exclusive look inside Calgary’s newest Italian hot spot

You know what you need, Calgs? More carbs. Forget about the summer bod, and let the warm ecstasy of pasta take your worries away. Specifically, let it happen at Allora, the newest Italian restaurant in Calgary!

Why are we so gung ho about this place? Well, everything at Allora is local to Calgary, handmade, or directly imported from Italy. It’s pretty wicked if we do say so ourselves.

It’s also pretty cool that you can watch your meal get made, right in front of your eyes. No, you’re not invited to lurk in the kitchen– but you are welcome to look at the glass-enclosed pasta station between Allora’s lounge and dining room. Just don’t write weird stuff in the fogged up part, ok?

From Carbonara to Roast Mushroom Risotto to Salumi pizza to fresh Italian cocktails, Allora goes hard. We’re not mad about it. In fact, we’re probably the opposite of that.

Check ’em out next time you’re near Aspen! In the wise words of an anonymous wise man, “Don’t be upsetti. Just eat spaghetti.”
