Bite of the Week: Raspberry mousse Passion Cake
Another week, another Curiocity Calgary Bite of the Week! This time, we’re taking you down a passionate road. ‘Cause nothing says “I love you” like a heart-shaped cake, does it Calgary?
Finesse Desserts is the newest face to join Calgary’s dessert game, but they’re far from another basic add. With goals to create “unchartered territory for dessert lovers”, and a major “emphasis on quality and taste”, Finesse’s treats are probably better than your mom’s. We said it so you don’t have to.
While we were stunned by their gorgeous flower wall, their Passion Cake really took the cake for us. (Sorry, we had to.) It’s visually stunning, with a bright pink glaze and contrasting green pistachio pieces.
However, the taste is even better. From the raspberry mousse to the tangy passionfruit insert to the crunchy nut base, it’s truly delicious. Get it in a larger, heart-shaped package or keep it small with a taster version– but whatever you do, don’t miss it.
