Happy Hour of the Week: 1/2 price whiskey & meat

Well hello again Calgary! We’re back with another edition of your fave series, Happy Hour of the Week. We hope that you’re all sake’d out after last week, ’cause now we’re switching gears and getting a little smoky.
Drumroll please: for the last week of March, we’ve chosen none other than Hayden Block! Located in Kensington, the Block is revered for its wicked Texan BBQ. With a Western-themed room– sorry, saloon– filled with wooden tables, friendly faces and bull’s skull decor, it’s definitely not an uppity joint.
However, it is up there on our list of Calgary restos, and a big part of it is thanks to their crazy happy hour. It’s time to buckle down for some meat sweats and strong sips because you’re in for a treat.
American, Scottish, Japanese, Canadian, Irish; you name the whiskey, and Hayden Block’s got it. Pop by from 3pm-6pm all week long to get started on their massive selection for half the price!
Or if you’re feeling a concoction, dip into a whiskey cocktail for $4 less. We’re not sure you’ll be able to handle all these crazy tasty sips, but don’t worry. If you’re feeling a little too tipsy by 10 pm, we’re pretty sure the 1/2 off meats will sober you up.
