Like the age old saying goes, nothing screws up your Friday like remembering it’s only Wednesday. Well rejoice, Calgary, because GRETA is making your mid-week slump way less…slumpier.
THE WHO
GRETA, Calgary’s only arcade-street-eatery bar, has become a beloved Calgary staple since opening in November 2018. Whether you were grabbing some after work happy hour drinks, engaging in some friendly gamer competition, or hitting up the dance floor on a Friday, GRETA’s been there for you. What most people don’t know, is that GRETA has a phenomenal food program serving up globally inspired street eats, handcrafted from locally sourced ingredients.

On the 27th, GRETA will be collaborating with Ms. Mac n Cheese- Calgary’s first ever mac n’ cheese truck. This family run business has been serving Calgarians cheesy homemade goodness since 2016, bringing us some serious macaroni innovations. For that, we are grateful, because you really haven’t lived ‘til you’ve had their homemade cheese sauce and Grilled Mac n’ Cheese Sandwich.
THE WHAT
One Wednesday a month, GRETA’s Head Chef, Marc Sidhom, will be opening up the kitchen to a local food truck. The food truck of choice will be whipping up one of their signature dishes from 6 pm on, and proceeds from each sale will be donated to The Mustard Seed.

For this special collab event on the 27th, Ms. Mac n Cheese is going back to basics and dishing up their Classic Mac for only 10 bucks. This best seller is the creamy mac of your dreams, with homemade sauce so good you’ll be ordering seconds ( or thirds…but hey, it’s for a great cause, so we won’t judge).
THE WHY
From first hitting the scene, GRETA has become a staple in Calgary’s burgeoning community of food and beverage. They place major importance on being apart of the community, which involves supporting local and giving back. From shopping locally, to partnering with Mealshare, to team volunteering, GRETA has made sure to impact the community in a positive way. This Food Truck Collab is just one more to add to their long list of community involvements.

In GRETA’s eyes, the times of rigid competition are over, and we couldn’t agree more. 2019 is all about collaboration and supporting each one another, so make sure you head down on the 27th to support Ms. Mac n Cheese, GRETA and The Mustard Seed!
GRETA is the spot to meet old friends, make new ones, and escape the outside world for a little while. At GRETA, people from all walks of life can let out their inner child and find the perfect adventure any night of the week. GRETA believes in supporting local, giving back, and most of all, GRETA believes in having a great time while being yourself, whoever that may be.
