Happy Friday-eve, Calgary! Is it just us or have the last few weeks flown right by? Somehow, we’re already at March’s door which is exciting but also a bit of a wake-up call! Spring is just around the corner, meaning we only have a little while left to enjoy the snow! This time around, we’ve got a ton of exciting events, most of which are going into their last few days, so don’t hesitate and get yourselves out there! Here are 10 socially-distant things to do in Calgary this weekend. Enjoy!
GET COZY WITH SOME COMFORT FOOD AT THE YYC FOOD TRUCKS
We hope you’re hungry Calgary because this weekend the YYC Food Trucks are holding another delicious drive-thru! Start your engines and hit the Grey Eagle Casino where you’ll be able to grab some grub from local favourites like Tikka n’ Tequila, Bear Balls, and Family Dough. Also, don’t forget to grab a box of Krispy Kreme donuts, for charity! It’s really the easiest, best-tasting way to do some good.

CELEBRATE THE LAST WEEKEND OF YYC HOT CHOCOLATE FEST
Alright, Calgary, this is it. This will be your VERY LAST weekend to hit as many participating businesses around the city to try their very best version of Canada’s favourite hot beverage! SIT BY THE FIRE IN THE EAST VILLAGE HYGGE HUT
Located just off River Walk Plaza in the East Village, Calgarians looking to wind down after a day of in-city cross-country skiing are encouraged to check out the Hygge Hut! This Scandinavian-style hut is fitted with a cozy fireplace, a warm atmosphere and is perfect for winding down under a blanket with a cup of Joe or hot cocoa. Oh, and while your there, don’t forget to snap a pic in front of their winter wonderland photo wall! These guys really went all out for us this year.

GO SCAVENGER HUNTING IN BRIDGELAND
Until March 31st, Calgarians interested in getting active, supporting local, exploring their city, and breathing in some fresh air are encouraged to check out the first Bridgeland Arctic Adventure! This weekend, check out their ‘adventure circuit’ which includes harder than you think tasks, like group photos in front of hidden city gems, videos proof of you participating in singalongs and fitness challenges, and a ton more.

GET CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND AN ART PLACE

If you weren’t already aware, the Calgary Olympic Plaza skating rink is freaking magical thanks to all the love that the city has put into making it an experience. This weekend, glide underneath stars and fairy lights surrounded by a “city-alive” downtown atmosphere and really make the most of this year’s chilly season.
