Well, friends, It’s here! Last week, Premier Jason Kenney announced that the province would begin to ease some of the Alberta COVID restrictions that were put into place back in December. These reinstated freedoms include allowing Albertans to hold outdoor gatherings again (10 max) and changing the limit of people able to attend a funeral to 20.

In addition to this, they’ve also granted some businesses relief, starting with those who were able to provide safe on-on-one services.

Here is everything that will be open as of today, January 18th, 2021!

Esthetics, manicure, pedicure and body waxing salons, as well as barbershops, hair salons, piercing and tattoo shops, tanning salons, cosmetic and skin treatment centres and floatation tanks and reflexology clinics may all open for one on one services. Walk-ins will NOT be allowed at this time.

RETAIL

Malls, clothing, liquor and cannabis stores, automotive, hardware and sporting good shops, as well as pharmacies, grocery stores, convenience and pet supply stores, as well as most markets may stay open BUT must operate at a 15% capacity.
