Here’s a complete Twitter recap of Calgary’s crazy snow storm

Well, good morning, friends! We hope that those of you who had to go into work this morning made it safe and sound because, wow. Apparently, Mother Nature heard us when we asked for a white Christmas because overnight, parts of YYC saw around 30 cm of the cold stuff – in fact, according to The Weather Network, Calgary is expected to get even more throughout the day.
Just in case you were afraid to look out the window (we wouldn’t blame you) and missed all of the craziness, here’s a recap of last night’s storm as documented by the wonderful people of Twitter.
It all kicked off with an aesthetically pleasant snowfall. Deceiving as always…

Then, of course, it started to pick up.
Let it snow let it snow let it snow! Heavy snow falling at this hour. Close to 5 cm already! We are in for 20-30 cm of snow by tomorrow afternoon #yyc #abstorm 5:40pm pic.twitter.com/3YaewNuFrb

Then things got serious…
Heavy snow, strong winds and poor visibility over southwestern Alberta will spread north and eastward Monday night. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Snow plows are at work. Drive with extreme caution in these areas. (7:15pm) #ABRoads #ABStorm https://t.co/YaueXUo2R5 pic.twitter.com/OCpYWcKkUS
