Calgary’s most interactive indoor light show has kicked off!

If you’re anything like us and have a list of unique experiences to check out this holiday season then you know that Sparkle Sparkle is at the top of the list. We are far from a shortage of Christmas light displays in our city but what makes Sparkle Sparkle so special is the addition of incorporating science! This is not just a light display, it’s a fully immersive experience with a twist of stardust. And it’s indoors so our extremities will thank us.

TELUS Spark has transformed into a shimmering wonderland of over 270,000 LED lights! Sparkle Sparkle is a journey led by an indoor path for an experience that warms up the darkest winter nights. We are so lucky to live in the great white north and the Calgary Science Centre has brought us exclusive light exhibits as an ode to our culture. You can walk through a twinkling northern lights cave or warm up by a towering LED bonfire and there’s nothing more Canadian than that. Bring your family or your special someone and make memories of wishing upon a star together. Spark has one of Canada’s largest dome theatres and it will be walking you through a 3-minute visual experience of a nebula (where stars are born!).

Plus, this whole place will be decked out to the cosmos. You’re pretty much getting all the wonders of Canadian winters served up to you in holiday style.
Stop by the Sugar Shack to get a sweet treat and the Spark store has some of the coolest gifts for holiday giving. Check out this guide on some items we especially like.
Also, Spark members get 40% admission prices and the doors are open from 5-9:30 PM. Reserved tickets are required for entry so visit SparkScience.ca to snag them! Our friends at TELUS Spark are following all AHS protocols, just be sure to check their website for any updates. There is nothing cooler than science so you know this light show will be totally different from anything you’ve seen before.
See you there!
