So it begins! The majority of Alberta’s new restrictions go live on Friday, but – that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy yourselves. With precautions, guidelines, and common sense in place, there are still a ton of things that you can do either at home, outdoors, or in a COVID-safe space. Here are 8 things to do at home or around Calgary this weekend.
BOOK ONE OF CALGARY’S FREE-TO-USE FIREPITS
In an effort to promote safe socialization, some public parks have been fitted with temporary fire pits and, as if that wasn’t cool enough, they’re also offering free wood. Check out the link above for more information on where to find them, and how to book a spot for you and your ‘social bubble.’

It’s the market season and Heritage park is open – and totally safe.
