Well, it comes as no surprise that the Canada-US border restrictions are supposed to be extended once more, as we near the current deadline of November 21. The news comes from CTV, which has successfully anticipated every extension over the past few months. Basically, we trust ’em.
It’s also not a stretch to predict the extension. Both Canada and America are facing a resurgence of the virus, and many regional restrictions have returned. Positive cases in both countries continue to push record highs, as areas scramble to get the virus under control.

So, probably not a good time to open the borders to tourists just yet. Hopefully, social distancing protocols will curb the spread, and Canada can once again be a tourist destination for our neighbours to the south. We’re guessing that will take some time, though.
In the meanwhile, you can stay up to date on all border restrictions via the Transport Canada webpage. Enjoy the rest of the day and stay safe, folks!
