For a big chunk of change people can join an expedition down to the actual Titanic

Via Titanic IMDB

You’ve seen the movie hundreds of times, you’ve read the books, watched the documentaries and googled to confirm the facts, names and to read the conspiracy theories wishing that one day, you’ll get the opportunity to see the historic resting site of the iconic RMS Titanic for yourself.

Well, Canada, that day has come; or at least it has for 6 incredibly lucky people with a ton of cash to throw. This May, OceanGate Expeditions will be taking on a handful of ‘citizen scientists’  on the journey of a lifetime – and let us tell you… It sounds well worth the money (if you’re insanely rich, of course).

Each person that successfully reserves their spot will also get a private cabin, will help maintain and navigate the ship on the way to where the ship sank on its maiden voyage and will assist in cataloging anything found during the 10-day voyage; but that’s not all – obviously.

With an astronomical price tag of over $165,000 CAD, this once-in-a-lifetime adventure will also take travellers on deepsea dive over, through, and around what’s left of the actual ship that took 1500 lives in 1912.

On this unreal journey thousands of metres under the sea, you’ll be joined by scientists, filmmakers, and undersea explorers who, like you, will collect images, video, laser scans, and sonar data of the RMS Titanic wreckage. Uhm, wow. This sounds like a life changer.

If you have the money and want to apply, you can check out the OceanGate Expeditions website here – also, if you need a plus one… we might know someone. Feel free to hit us up!

Spoiler – that someone is us. Please take us with you. Please?
