So it’s mid-January and we’re pretty deep into winter. It’s been a light go so far (knock on wood), but we’re still feelin’ a little chilly… so it’s time to pack up the road-trip-mobile and pop into a toasty hot spring or two. Keep reading for our top 5 picks of hot springs near Calgary!
Lussier Hot Springs

Outdoorsy folks, this one’s for you. Lussier’s smack dab in the middle of Canada’s great white outdoors, so pick a pool and get ready to connect with neature.

Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort

We know, we know– this is pretty out of the way… but it’s a can’t-miss experience, Calgary. Ainsworth has a steamy, horseshoe-shaped cave and an icy mountain stream, so it’s the best of both worlds when it comes to hot and cold.

Banff Upper Hot Springs

The Banff Upper Hot Springs is a classic stop for a reason. They’re not only gorgeous (1,585-metre-views= Insta gold), but the 38ºC water is perfect for a winter dip. Plus, you can even rent yourself a retro suit…

Radium Hot Springs

We couldn’t write this guide and not include the iconic Radium Hot Springs. As Canada’s largest hot springs, these pools are surrounded by impressive rock walls and trees that look gorgeous in the snow!

When: 1PM–9PM Monday–Friday; 10AM–9PM Saturday–Sunday
Fairmont Hot Springs

Fairmont Hot Springs is a solid roadie away, but its super hot temps and stunning views totally make up for the drive. We strongly recommend hitting the smaller natural hot spring for some amazing photo ops.
