Who knew that learning from home could be so freaking cute? Nanny McCluckin a Calgary business with a name of gold, has totally taken off in the midst of COVID, and honestly, it’s pretty clear why.

For the last few months, these folks have been putting together and renting out chicken egg incubation kits to parents and kids at home.

For $157.50 each family will get a fertilized egg, an incubator, a heater, food, shavings, a housing bin, and some magical mems – which they’ll get to keep for an entire lifetime. Once the chick has hatched, you’ll also get an additional week to watch it grow, name it and more than likely, also become attached before you have to give them back.

Now to be honest, for someone like ourselves who is incredibly emotional, this sounded kind of agonizing at first. Then, we found that families are invited to check-in every now and then to see how their chicken is doing.

Heck, they even send you photos so you can have a piece of mind. In a way, it’s kind of like you’re sending your kid to a boarding school!

Now, unfortunately, because Nanny McCluckin has become so popular, it’ll be a while until you can order a kit for yourself; but you’re encouraged to keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates!
