17th Avenue’s 1410 Bier Haus is shutting down after nearly 16 years

Well, folks. We’ve got more sad news from the restaurant industry today. According to their most recent post on Instagram, 1410 World Bier Haus on 17th Avenue will be closing their doors permanently.
Although the group will keep its Glenmore Landing and its Westsprings locations open; their popular inner-city spot will shut everything down come Wednesday, October 28th.

Since they opened in 2005, 1410 has actually one of the busier places on the far west end of 17th Avenue – especially in the summer. Their neat rooftop patio and extensive beer menu made for a solid after-work get-together, or a lazy Sunday lunch. Needless to say, they’ll be missed by frequenters and passerby’s alike.
If you’d like to say goodbye, be sure to stop by within the next week. As we said they will be locking up on the 28th, which gives you just enough time to pop in for a drink.
See you at your other locations, World Bier Haus – it’s been a slice having you downtown – but alas, all good things must come to an end.
