Well, YYC. To be honest, when Wednesday’s snow came and went, we really thought we were out of the woods, but as it turns out… we still live in Alberta, where that fluffy stuff is inevitable. Unfortunately, it looks like this weekend, we will see more winter weather in Calgary.

According to Environment Canada, who actually issued a statement addressed to the majority of Alberta, Calgary in addition to several other prairie cities, will be hit with what they call a ‘Pacific Low.’

This PL could ht southern Alberta on Friday after making its way through Central British Columbia, bringing about 10 cm of white stuff and gusts of wind between 60 and 80 km/h. Sounds fun, right?

Temperatures could drop significantly (around -14°C ) on Friday, and also, if all that didn’t suck enough, they’re also telling people to prepare for less than ideal driving conditions. Things will be particularly bad in the afternoon leading into the weekend, so be careful. friends!

Obviously, this is not the worst winter weather we’ve seen in Calgary, but it’s still important to be alert – especially because it’s been a while! Stay safe out there, friends!
