Screamfest is coming back to Stampede Park with multiple haunted houses this October

We made it, witches. We finally found our way back to October, the month of frights and freaks. Now, we’ll be honest – although we continue to hope for the best this year, we were planning for the worst. 2020 has been pretty unpredictable, after all. But it seems like Halloween is bringing Calgary back to life in a big way. In addition to other YYC faves, Screamfest has been resurrected for another year, proving once and for all that Halloween is alive ready to scare us silly.
Back with at least 6 terrifying haunted houses inspired by classics like Pyscho and TV favourites like The Walking Dead, Screamfest will be taking over Stampede Park’s BMO centre for yet another year.

If traditional spooks just aren’t your cup of KoolAid, check out their Nightmare Market in support of local businesses and artisans, or step right up and play one of their creepy carnival games.
Now, for those who are more afraid of catching COVID than coming face to face with what lurks in the shadows at this event, we come bearing peace of mind. Screamfest has actually been working closely with Alberta Health Services in order to keep everyone safe at this time.
Precautions were taken very seriously and include things like setting up sanitizer stations, having everyone including actors wear PPE as well as moving all houses outside and enforcing social distancing among others.
Show up at your own discretion, but don’t forget to treat yourselves to a little Halloween haunt this season. It is the most wonderful time of the year, after all!
