For the price of a luxury car Canadians can now own their own robot dog

Have you always wanted your very own, very yellow, very headless four-legged end of days device? Well, have we got some news for you! Future-forward tech company Boston Dynamics have just made ‘Spot,’ their navigational robot dog, available in Canada!
The whole ‘robots will eventually outsmart us and take over the world’ thing aside, this could be the investment of a lifetime. Sure it’ll cost you a cool $74,500 USD, but think of all the unexplored terrain that you could inspect with this thing. Worth it!
What if you actually find… something? Wouldn’t that be the coolest? Also, how many people get to say they have a robot? The answer is not many – because this is actually the companies very first commercially available product.

In all seriousness, folks. This knee-high Armageddon apparatus is pretty impressive. Spot can move at around 3/mph for a total of 90 minutes without a charge, is equipped with a 360-degree camera and can climb up and down a flight of stairs, hills and mountains.
He’s also able to carry up to 40 pounds, is totally weatherproof and can open doors – which isn’t threatening or potentially invasive at all. There’s nothing to be afraid of!
Also, we’re pretty sure Alexa would appreciate the company! Hey Siri, what do you think?
If you’re ready and have the money to launch yourself into 2030, you can get a ‘Spot’ on the Boston Dynamics website here. Man, the future looks friendly – we can’t wait… really.
