Don’t pug-get! A ridiculous pet parade is taking place at Eau Claire this weekend!

Who’s the goodest boy?! Seriously, who?! We won’t be able to decide! This weekend pet lovers and owners alike will gather in Eau Claire Park to watch hundreds of the fanciest floofs and you will not want to miss it. The Calgary Paws-Play Pet Parade is the physically distanced event 2020 may have actually needed the most.

This furry pageant of perfection and pop culture will feature every species and breed dressed to the nines, probably as everything from Star Wars characters and Disney princesses to carnival food. We really can only imagine…

The event has actually been put together by the good folks at Fan Meetups HQ, an organization that works alongside the Calgary Comic Expo. In saying that, we think it’s safe to say that this precious idea has been left in pretty good hands. Puppies and tutus? What could possibly go wrong?!

Registration is now closed, but any and all well-behaved animal and their human were encouraged to participate, so you know it’ll be one heck of an afternoon. Costumes can super simple or crazy elaborate depending on the pet’s comfort level, as long as it’s put on out of kindness.

We will absolutely see you there, Calgary. Realistically, there’s not a lot that will be able to keep us from this one. We’re already crying.
