Oh, how time flies! Almost exactly a year ago, the apocalypse sanctuary and bulk foods heaven, Costco, announced that they would be building a 150,000 square-foot store on First Nations Land as part of brand new, mega-development Shops at Buffalo Run by Taza.

Well, Calgary, we hope you’ve got a shopping list on hand, because the chain’s 6th Calgary store is set to open on Friday, August 28th.

At $4.5 billion dollars, what Taza has accomplished will actually have the very first Costco and be the biggest retail and community space on First Nations land in Canada, which is major.

When completed, The Shops at Buffalo Run will be a 500-hectare project. In addition to the mega-store, it will also include an entertainment and hospitality complex, a research campus, and a health and wellness component.

We can’t wait to see it! It honestly sounds like it’ll be incredible. Get ready, Calgary!
