Admission tickets for Calgary’s outdoor pools sell out in matter of hours

Well, YYC, if you were hoping to go for a dip in one of the outdoor pools in Calgary this summer, we wish you good luck. Earlier this season, the Outdoor Swimming Pool Association announced that only two facilities would reopen in 2020. They also announced that they would require pre-registry. Unfortunately, to our surprise, within only hours of going live on their community websites, the first day actually sold out.
Basically, if you guys are looking to dive in, you’ll have to standby with your hand firmly on the mouse first!

This year, Highwood. as well as the Calgary Silver Springs outdoor pools will be the only ones allowing guests in for cooling backstroke. Capacities are at an all-time low, with Highwood only allowing 66 as opposed to 182 people, and Silver Springs only accommodating 76, instead of 275. Wowza.
