2020 was in desperate need of some vibrance, luckily, Calgary’s BUMP Festival is here and well underway. This exciting event is working with 21 artists from all over the globe to bring some colour to the downtown area, and man are we thankful. This is actually the 3rd year in a row that this art-centric event has taken over the Beltline, helping draw attention to the unexplored nooks and crannies of the inner city. To our surprise, despite it all just kicking off, a few pieces are already complete! Here is where you’ll find the completed works of the 2020 BUMP festival.

Sbuone

Since moving to Montreal from France in 2003, Sbone has dabbled in a ton of different mediums – including the art of tattooing. He’s highly influenced by nature, ancient art as well as symbols of “the collective unconscious.”

Vancouver born, Alex Tavukiyan was actually one of the very first to finish his 2020 BUMP submission. This guy works fast, completing his piece outside of the I Love You Coffee Shop in just one week, but with the amount of experience he has, that’s not actually surprising. With a background in Industrial Design, he has actually spent the last few years focusing on mural artwork.
