We know, we know… “explore your own backyard” has gotten super old, super fast. But there’s a lot of our own province most of us likely haven’t explored and a pretty fantastic culinary scene both within, and well beyond, our provinces two major cities. Lucky for us, Alberta On The Plate is officially kicking off this week to help Albertans navigate the very best culinary experiences across the province!

From Friday, August 7th to Sunday, August 16th, the festival will be happening across Alberta showcasing some of the very best culinary experiences our province has to offer. With a variety of hand-selected spots in rural areas, the mountains, and local to Calgary and Edmonton, participating restaurants will be offering multi-course fixed price menus celebrating local producers, growers, distillers, and brewers.

So, buckle in and get your gas tank and Google maps ready because it’s time to make the most of being provincially-quarantined all while supporting some amazing local businesses!
Stay tuned because we’re going to be breaking down our guide to the very best restaurants to check out. But for now, visit the Alberta On The Plate website and IG to start planning your great Albertan foodie road trip adventure!
