Calgary is in for an incredibly warm long weekend

Well, folks, we hope that you’ve successfully adjusted to the toastier weather we’ve had because there’s plenty more where that came from! According to Calgary’s long weekend weather forecast, we’re in for more sun and more humidity, thanks to a thunderstorm expected early Friday morning.

With a four day high of 30°c, we hope that your Heritage Day plans include a whole lot of outside time. This would be a great time to hit a park, go for a walk, have a BBQ or just admit defeat and lay around in some wet grass with the garden hose and a cold beer.

Evenings this weekend will also be pretty warm, sticking around 15°c from Friday through to Sunday. For those who aren’t huge sun fans, we certainly wouldn’t blame you if you slept until late morning and then stayed up late to avoid becoming a baked potato.

We hear that’s what they do in Greece, and honestly, we think it’s kind of genius. They’ve really this heat thing figured out over there.

Anyway, whatever it is that you decide to spend the next few days doing, please be smart about it! As we mentioned earlier this week when Environment Canada issued our severe weather warning, dehydration and heat exhaustion are no joke. Stay Cool, friends. If Calgary’s weather forecast is as accurate as it has been over the last few days we’re really in for it.
