It’s about to get muy caliente, YYC! According to Calgary’s weekly forecast, the sun is on its way, and with it, an official heat warning from Environment Canada.
As we kick off the last few days of July, the sun is rolling in with a vengeance. With all of the tornado alerts and thunderstorm watches, it seems that the big red guy in the sky is making up for some lost air time.

We can expect a spicy 7-day high of 31°c on Tuesday, with other temperatures hovering in the high 20s through until Sunday.
As you can see we might also see some more rain and thunder, but it shouldn’t be anything we can’t handle. 2 out of 5 ain’t bad, right?
The only thing that we should be worrying about this time around, is whether or not your SPF is just right. Please, don’t leave the house without sunscreen – or at the very least a hat. Heat exhaustion and sunburns are no freaking joke! Stay hydrated, and be smart! Calgary’s weekly weather forecast may change, but the pain of raw, red-lobster skin sans butter, will stay excruciatingly painful.
