An adorable pet costume Parade will hit Eau Claire this August

So, you could walk around the inner city, spend your afternoon on a pet-friendly patio and squeal at the sight of every shepherd cross that eats a spaghetti noodle off the ground OR you could check out the Calgary Paws-Play Pet Parade. Why is this a million times better than the dog park you ask? The answer is simple, fellow floof-lovers. These pups will be dressed to the nines, in tiny adorable costumes.
Next month, animal parents of every breed and species will gather in Eau Claire Park for a distance friendly pageant of furry perfection and pop culture.

The event is being organized by the folks at Fan Meetups HQ, who works alongside the Calgary Comic Expo, so we think it’s safe to say that this precious idea has been left in pretty good hands.
Any and all well-behaved animal and their human are encouraged to participate, and costumes can super simple or crazy elaborate depending on your pet’s comfort level, as long as it’s put on out of kindness. Please, be kind to your critters, folks. This is meant to be just as fun for your dog or cat as it is for those watching.
See you out there, Calgary! We’ll be the one crying over a pug in a Millenium Falcon costume.
