Deerfoot City & PARK unveil incredible #YYCBlockParty mural, patio, & more

This is big, Calgary. Really, really big. PARK and Deerfoot City have partnered for the first time ever to launch #YYCBlockParty! This contemporary mural has incorporated the art of 5 creatively diverse artists from right here in Calgary and will not only act as extended patio space but also as a place where shoppers can sit, take photos and play outdoor lawn games.

“#YYCBlockParty provides a vibrant, accessible, and safe community space where Calgarians can engage with outdoor public art and one another while socially distancing,” Deerfoot City said.
Accompanied by picnic tables, benches and coordinating umbrellas- all separated according to Alberta Health guidelines- the installation has been impressively lined by over 200 feet of pathway. Two hundred!
