Happy pre-kend, folks! There are a ton of events from Friday right through to Sunday so let’s just jump right into it. Keep in mind that the 21st is Father’s Day, so no matter what your plans are, make sure you take a few minutes for a call or a drop-in! Maybe take him to do something on today’s list! Celebrate National Indigenous People’s Day online

Since the early 1990’s Calgary has seen colourful, proud commemorations leading up to National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is held on the summer solstice. This year, instead of holding it outside with crowds of people,  NAAWD will still be held online!  This virtual experience will feature storytelling, dancing, singing, and a pipe ceremony, just as it has every year before this one.

Raise awareness for ALS with Betty’s Run 

Betty’s Run is an annual event, inspiring community, and hope for those affected by ALS. This year due to COVID, the event will be held online! Those participating will now run from any location they choose. This can include your local park, laps in your back yard, or a treadmill. The possibilities are endless! If you’d like to jog for the cause or if you’d like to donate you can check out the official Betty’s Run website here for more information on how to do so!
