For social butterflies, phase one of Alberta’s economic relaunch couldn’t have come fast enough. Unfortunately for them, despite having the green light, they’ve had to wait for businesses to reopen. These things take time, especially during a pandemic! It’s been weeks, but some of the city’s favourite bars, eateries, and lounges have finally begun offering dine-in service. Don’t know which ones are taking reservations? Here are 6 Calgary restaurants that have recently reopened!

Bonterra

Bonterra is back, and with that, so are our cravings for heavy carbs. Pasta, bread, and rich sauces will be warm and waiting for you at their newly-relaunched dine-in service. Make a reservation, and enjoy yourselves, Calgary. It’s been too long.

Where: 1016 8 Street SW, Calgary

Bridgette Bar

Get boujee at YYC’s Bridgette Bar! This beautiful space is one of Calgary’s favourite restaurants, not only because the food is amazing, but also because the decor is immaculate. They’re only open right now on from Wednesday-Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm to better adhere with COVID-19 restrictions. But it’s well worth a snazzy outfit and a reservation.

Moonlight & Eli

fondue cheese dip

This spot is finally reopening on Saturday, July 20th, just in time for Father’s Day! In case you’ve forgotten (or never been) Moonlight & Eli is Calgary’s ultimate champagne and fondue bar. Plus, they’ve added a little backyard patio space! Make sure to make your reservations beforehand and enjoy!

Betty Lou’s Library

Despite their tight space, Betty Lou’s Library has worked out how to reopen, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Betty Lou’s is a jazzy little cocktail bar hidden behind a bookcase of 17th Avenue. They’re asking that you make a reservation, which you can do here before you suit up for a unique night out.

Ship and Anchor Pub

Arguably the busiest spot of 17th Avenue on any given day, The Ship and Anchor Pub has finally reopened with several safeguards in place. Grab a ship burger or a beer on their locally-famous patio, and enjoy people watching on a hot day. The Ship and Calgary’s summer go hand in hand, so obviously this is a must.
