Alright, folks. Tomorrow is the big day, but we’d be lying if we said that we weren’t a little nervous. Luckily, bigger retail spaces like Chinook Centre, and Market Mall have been taking extreme precautions to keep us and their staff safe for May 14th’s Alberta relaunch.

In a release, Cadillac Fairview said that they’ve extended mall hours and have increased cleaning and hygiene practices. Food courts and in-mall restaurants will have to comply with guidelines given to them by the province and health authorities, which can be read right here on the Alberta Biz Relaunch strategy website.

Also, not all stores will be open, as the decision has been left up to individual owners, and floor decals and signage will organize and separate customers.

Of course, if you’re not comfortable hitting the streets or cruising the mall, there is no pressure to do so! Online shopping is still an option, and delivery and take-out will keep you fed!

Things change and people change after they’ve spent over a month alcohol swabbing their groceries.
