Ceili’s to give thousands of free pizzas to frontline workers & those in need


We’ve got a lot of health-care workers on the frontlines, folks, and they’ve got to eat! As their way of saying thank you, Ceili’s on 17th Avenue is reopening for the month of May for AHS and those in need.
In addition to a new ‘pizza only menu’ for the general public, the Irish hotspot will also be working to give away thousands of free pizzas to or essential hospital staff and vulnerable Calgarians.
“Our team at Ceili’s cannot fathom the stress our courageous frontline hospital staff, health care workers, storefront clerks, delivery drivers, those who have recently lost their jobs and the list goes on and on – all must be feeling right now,” said Matt Blanchfield, Managing Director for the Ceili’s Group in a press release.

“We sat down to brainstorm what we could do to give back in true Calgary spirit and a couple of thousand free pizzas was our unanimous decision,” he continued.
Those who are eligible, are asked to call in and self-declare themselves as such with one of their employees. All orders are by pick up only at their 933 17 Ave S.W. location. If you don’t’ qualify by still purchasing a pizza, you’ll be helming the restaurant provide even more for the community, so it’s still worth it to grab yourselves a Hawaiian, cheese, heck even both!
They will be open every Wednesday to Saturday, from 3 pm and 8 pm, and will remain open until May 30th! That’s plenty of time to get your crustin’ on, folks! Enjoy!
