Local donation drive backed by Ryan Reynolds and Calgary Flames

It’s been really cool watching the world come together through all of this. Our frontline health care workers have received an unbelievable amount of support from the public, the government and from organizations like Conquer COVID-19. If you’d like to help but weren’t sure how, this weekend, they’ll actually be holding a PPE and essentials donation drive here in Calgary.

The organization, which is actually backed by Ryan Reynolds, Hayley Wickneheiser and the Calgary Flames, facilitates the collection and distribution of medical supplies to hospitals like gloves, masks, and gowns.
In addition to medical supplies, they also accept diapers, baby wipes, formula and hygiene products for local women shelters. Electronics like iPads and tablets are also welcomed, so people in need are able to stay connected during this time.
This particular event will be hosted by Calgary businesses, ProStar Cleaning and Restoration Inc. in the NE, and will run from 9 am to 5 pm. All staff will be dressed appropriately and donations will be collected without any contact.
Also, if you don’t have PPE or anything else mentioned, you can donate to Conquer COVID-19 or by a “Conquer COVID-19” T-shirt here!
We’ll get through this, folks! Stay safe, stay smart and stay sane!
