But trust us when we say that YYC has some incredible “fast food” options, none of which are found at the same place you pump your gas. Here are 7 Calgary restos where you can get a quality grab and go meal.

MOOSE AND PONCHO

Moose and Poncho is out of this freaking world. If you’ve never heard of them, it’s because they’re a true hidden gem. This adorable family-owned resto even makes their own chorizo with locally sourced ingredients, also they’re conveniently located downtown, so it’s an easy run-in, run-out during your lunch break!

THE NASH

Gourmet to go? Where do we sign? The Nash has a fast-track menu to tasty town including free-range chicken and daily features selected from their a la carte menu.  There’s no need to sacrifice quality just because you’re in a rush!

CIBO CAFE

This authentic Italian resto takes “grab and go meal” to a whole new level. They have a ton of tasty take-home pizzas, mind blowing fresh and dried pasta and flavourful imported and local cheese and salami, prepared in less than 20 minutes.

Hey plant-based babies! Copper Branch offers a full menu of plant-based food items for the herbivore foodie and healthy eaters alike. Copper Branch has a ton of delicious options, our favourite being their Spicy Black Bean Burger. 10/10 would recommend.

TAKORI TAQUERIA

Takori Taqueria is the answer to bizarre mid-day cravings. Their grab-and-go menu is super original, consisting of Asian-style tacos and fusion quesadillas. Your taste buds will go absolutely wild at this place. In a good way, obviously.

ALFORNO BAKERY AND CAFE

Alforno is the perfect place for a quick coffee date or a lunchtime meeting. Yeah, their coffee is obviously top-notch, but we’d be lying if we said our favourite thing on the menu could be sucked through a straw. They’ve got delicious (and super quick) snacks, which includes things like pizzas, bowls and sandwiches.

LITTLE HENRY

Little Henry, like it’s big sibling Ten Foot Henry, offers high quality, healthy meals… just faster! The menu is well rounded and it’s super simple, which anyone can appreciate when they’re in a hurry. Here, they have a wide variety of tasty treats and gourmet-type eats like salads, bowls, fancy things on toast, jars, and of course sweets and espressos.
